Problems Logging In
Back to the
Top
|
|
If your log in is not successful
it is probably because of a simple mistake. You will see one of
two messages:
Yahoo ID is not known
Password is incorrect.
Here are some of
the more common mistakes that can cause this.
You made a typing error when
you typed in your ID or Password.
Just type it in again carefully and sign in again.
You have the capital letter key
locked and are typing in all capitals.
Unlock it and try again
Instead of typing an underscore
like this _, you forgot to hold down the shift key and so
you typed a dash like this -
Just try again holding down the shift key when needed.
Warning:
Another possible
reason your log in failed is that your account got closed.
If you do not check your email for long
periods of time, it can get closed by the program.
Additionally, if you use your email for illegal purposes,
it can be shut down permanently.

Signing Out

finished using your email, you must Sign

cafe, because this closes your email. Now you, or
someone else will need to log in again to your account to access
it.
Note: If you do not sign out, the next person who uses this
computer will be able to enter your account and read all your
personal mail and have access to your personal information. To sign
out: Look on the right side of your email at the top for
the words Sign Out. Click on it
and you should now
see a Yahoo screen with the words "return to Yahoo mail".
If you see this screen, your email is closed and you can
safely close the window.
